Our story began in 1926, in a modest florist shop in Brighton, Melbourne, founded by Stan and Maude Brough. What started as a small local business soon blossomed into a lasting family legacy. Over the generations, their children became involved, nurturing the business with the same passion and care. Today, that legacy lives on through their grandson, Steve Brough, who continues to lead the family business — proudly sharing a love of plants with Melbourne and its surrounding communities.

Today, Plants for Hire is powered by a small but fiercely dedicated team — some of whom have been with us for over 30 years. While modest in size, our team brings a wealth of expertise and deep-rooted plant knowledge, cultivated through decades of passion and hands-on experience.
